This branding is for the International Fashion Design Institute, a museum showcasing fashion design throughout the ages. This was a project I worked on while studying abroad at Scuola Internazionale Di Grafica – Venezia.
Since the goal of the museum is to highlight fashion design through a variety of eras, I wanted to create a logo that was classic and simple, and could be paired with imagery from different time periods. Using an italicized serif font, I wove together the letters IFDI and paired it with a bold red. The result was a simple, dynamic logo.
As for the brand's overall look and feel, I decided to the best way to create consistency across all materials was to veer towards clean, black and white photography. Since fashion trends, colors, and styles change so rapidly, this was the ideal route for cohesion. I paired this simple imagery with bold red overlays in order to create breathable yet eye catching assets.
